Joseph C. Militello, M.D.
Board-Certified Ophthalmologist

Dr. Joseph Militello is a board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in comprehensive medical and surgical eye care. Dr. Militello grew up in the Tampa Bay area, spending much of his youth in Hillsborough and Hernando counties. After graduating with honors from the University of Florida, he received his medical degree from the University of South Florida. He completed his internship at Tampa General Hospital and his ophthalmology residency at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. After completing his training, he practiced in Manatee and Hillsborough counties. He is now pleased to bring his skills in cataract surgery, eyelid plastic surgery and laser surgery to Hernando and Pasco counties.

Dr. Militello has privileges at Spring Hill Regional, Brooksville Regional, and Oak Hill Hospitals. He is the only Ophthalmologist who covers call at all of the local hospitals. Dr. Militello has surgical privileges at Bayonet Point Surgery Center in Hudson, All Saints Surgery Center in Brooksville, and Florida Endoscopy and Surgery Center in Brooksville.

Dr. Militello is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery. He is also a Diplomat of the American Board of Ophthalmology.

Dr. Militello is married with one son and enjoys bicycle riding, hiking and swimming with his family.

Victoria Erjavec, MPA	Practice Administrator
Victoria is the Practice Administrator for The Eye Center and has worked in the health care industry for over 14 years. She has a Bachelors Degree in Health Care Administration and a Masters Degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Health Care. In addition to her management duties, she also assists Dr. Militello during patient exams and procedures. Victoria is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmic Administrators.
Miaisha	Front Desk Coordinator
Miaisha has worked in the medical field for over 13 years, and has caught on quickly to the field of Ophthalmology. Her excellent customer service skills, attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks at once make her an expert at our front desk. Miaisha schedules appointments, greets patients for their visits, and assists in making follow-up appointments. She handles every aspect of organization when it comes to our front desk, and is always looking for ways to improve the patient experience.
Sandi	Ophthalmic Technician
Sandi is a Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT), and has worked in Ophthalmology for over 11 years. She has extensive experience both in the office and assisting physicians in surgery. Sandy completes the initial part of the patient encounter and assists Dr. Militello during his exam and procedures. She also performs the important job of obtaining the eye measurements needed when Dr. Militello performs cataract surgery. Sandi's knowledge and experience, as well as her kind treatment of patients, have helped to build our practice.
Patty	Billing and Surgery Coordinator
Patty has multiple duties at The Eye Center and has worked in eye care for over 11 years. Patty handles all billing aspects of our office. Her extensive understanding of insurances and filing claims assures that our patient accounts are always accurate and current. In addition, Patty is the Surgical Coordinator for all of Dr. Militello's procedures. She works closely with the surgery center and educates patients about their surgery day. Patty also assists with the functions at the front desk. Patty's genuine concern for our patients shows in everything she does.
Georganne	Ophthalmic Technician
Georganne is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) and is currently working on obtaining her Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Certificate. Georganne has worked in Ophthalmology for over 8 years, and is responsible for all aspects of the patient workup, including vision testing, refractions, and checking eye pressure. Her attention to detail is demonstrated in the thoroughness of her charting and documentation, and she treats every patient with care. Georganne is also responsible for all of the Visual Field testing at The Eye Center.
RaeAnn	Ophthalmic Technician
RaeAnn is a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant (COA) and is currently working toward her Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) Certificate. RaeAnn has worked in the field of Ophthalmology for over 8 years, and is responsible for obtaining the preliminary information and testing for Dr. Militello to complete his exam. RaeAnn's customer service skills coupled with her ideas to continually improve our office make her a great part of our team.
